Throughout the first few classes, i began to consider what I wanted to focus on for my research throughout the semester. As someone who closely follows the NYSE, i noticed the detrimental impact Deepseek,a Chinese-developed LLM, had on NVDA’s stock price. While taking notes and reading the article Which AI to Use Now: An Updated Opinionated Guide for class, I had a realization-my research goal for the course is to evaluate whether AI can be a valuable tool in the financial sector. I aim to explore the areas in which it can be utilized such as market research, risk analysis, and trade monitoring. For a month, I will make a number of simulated “trades” based on the recommendations of multiple LLMs every Monday and assess at the end of the month whether this strategy would have been profitable.
